Medieval Gowns

Lovely, luxurious medieval gowns! The variations are almost endless -- you could easily have 5 of these and none of them alike.

First shown here is a blue linen gown worn with long tippet sleeves trimmed in gold metallic trim, worn over a white linen undergown with longer-than-full-length tight sleeves.

As pictured: Blue linen overdress with tippet sleeves and metallic trim .  Also pictured: White linen underdress with longer-than-full length sleeves  . ** Prices may vary due to availability of fabric.

Also shown is a velvety doe-suede gown in deep red, with moderate bell sleeves trimmed in contrasting doe-suede, and matching side-panels for added fullness.

As pictured: Red doe suede with contrast doe suede fabric and tiny trim, moderate bell sleeves . ** Prices may vary due to availability of fabric.

These gowns are suitable for wearing alone or with an underdress with longer-than-full-length sleeves for a more period-appropriate look.

Sleeve options: Full bell with long tippets, full bell without tippets, moderate bell, narrow full-length, or narrow longer-than-full-length sleeves. Sleeves may be trimmed or plain.

Neckline options: Plain neck, thin trim at neck, keyhole neckline in contrasting fabric.

Additional side panels may be added for more fullness to the skirt. Panels can be of the gown fabric or a contrasting fabric. Let your imagination run wild!

Blouses

Angel-Wing Blouse

These lovely blouses turn heads wherever I go. They're my signature item, and my favorite. The body is loose, with an elasticized off-the-shoulder neckline and attached angel-wing sleeves.

Fabrics: This blouse is available in solid cotton, silky-texture or crepe/gauze. It's striking enough in all one fabric -- but it's drop-dead-gorgeous with lace sleeves (as modeled below by Dianna, with tights and an overskirt).

As pictured below: Cotton body with lace sleeves . ** Prices may vary due to availability of fabric.

Wenchy Blouse

Simple, timeless, wench-tastic! The elastic shoulders and neck make this blouse as comfortable as it is appealing. Can be worn on or off the shoulders.

Sleeves may be short-puffy, half-length or full-length. And try it with lace at cuffs instead of a ruffle!

Fabrics: Cotton/blends, prints, gauze, silky, stretch velvet.

As pictured below: Black cotton with full-length sleeves and ruffle cuffs . ** Prices may vary due to availability of fabric.

Skirts

Overskirts

(Pictured above) Fitted at the waist with a hook closure, these comfortable, open-fronted skirts are the perfect complement to a pair of tights or for layering with another skirt or chemise. Tuck it up for a 'wenchy' look, or let it flutter around you like a dream as you move through the faire.

Fabrics: Cotton/blends, prints, doe-suede, satin/silky, brocade, corduroy, stretch velvet.

As pictured above (Dianna): Cotton print  .
As pictured to the right (Angelle): Print doe suede .

Basic skirt in cotton , XL higher. Prices will vary depending on fabric.

Panel Skirt

Gorgeous! Slightly more streamlined, with less fabric at the waist without sacrificing fullness. The Panel Skirt fits somewhat more comfortably beneath a bodice than the Gathered Skirt, and may still be layered with a chemise or second skirt (as pictured below).

Ladies' Tie-Me-Up Pants

Super-sexy, cool and comfortable!

These are one of the things I get rave reviews on most often. Comfortable, breathable, cool in the hottest weather -- you cannot do without these pants!

The open legs tie at the waist, and can be adjusted to show more, less, or NO leg, depending on the level of modesty desired.

Knot the bottoms at the ankle, or at the knee for a blousy, piratical look.

Wear them alone, or with tights beneath.

Fabrics: Cottons/blends, prints, doe suede, brocades, satin/silkys.

Men: You'll look fab in Tie-Me-Up Pants too! Visit my Men's Garb page for more.

As pictured: Cotton knee length unlined . ** Prices may vary due to availability of fabric.

Above: Cotton Tie-Me-Up Pants in cotton, full-length , XL slightly higher. ** Price may vary depending on availability of fabric.

Medieval Chemise

(Pictured above with blue linen Medieval Gown.) This is to the Medieval Gown what the standard Chemise is to later period attire. More streamlined, this chemise follows your figure and provides the proper historic look necessary with the Medieval Gown. Sleeves may be full-length narrow, longer-than-full-length narrow (for the historic 'bunched' look), or omitted (sleeveless) for comfort. Floor length.

Fabrics: Cotton/blends, linen, gauze.

As pictured above, heavy white linen with longer-than-full-length sleeves  .

Goddess Gown/Chemise (pictured below)

Similar in cut to the standard Chemise, the Goddess Gown gives a more luxurious and flowing effect. Features an elasticized neckline for wearing on or off the shoulder, and full angel-wing sleeves as seen in the Angel-Wing Blouse. Sleeves may be made of matching fabric or of lace for a more glamorous look. Floor length.

If made of an opaque fabric, this gown is lovely with just a bodice or cincher, as pictured. Flattering to full figures.

Fabrics: Cotton/blends, linen, gauze.

As pictured below left: Cream crinkle gauze, full length, no trim .
As pictured below right: Dark blue heavy cotton, full length, no trim . Pricing will vary depending on availability of fabric, style and trim.

Italian Renaissance Gown

An elegant favorite, this gown has a fitted (not tight) bodice with a high waist, full skirt, and detachable sleeves. Gown may be one color or made of contrasting fabric. Skirt of gown may be open-fronted (like the overskirts above) or closed. (If open, you will need a chemise or skirt beneath it or you will be showing way too much!) Sleeves and neckline may be plain or trimmed with delicate trim or contrasting fabric and/or small buttons.

Pricing will vary depending on fabric, style, etc. Basic gown in cotton with moderate trim beginning at ; XL slightly higher.

Pictured below: Italian Renaissance gown in antique-gold-on-cream brocade with antique gold metallic trim at bust.
